Top 5 electric vehicles for sale

Buy an EV at EV Sales

Electric cars are definitely an innovative product that haven’t been fully embraced by the public yet, but their time is coming. Many manufacturers haven’t warmed to the idea of producing a pure electric vehicle, so car brands to choose from have been limited. However, times are changing and rapidly too! We have seen the arrival of some fabulous EVs. So which one would you choose? We have put together a list of the top 5 electric vehicles for sale in terms of usability, range, and value for money.

1. Kia e-Niro

The Kia e-Niro is definitely a cost efficient car, perfect for anyone looking to ditch their internal combustion engine (ICE) car. Quite frankly people should stop filling up and start charging up.

The Kia e-Niro can comfortably reach a real-world range of 230 – 250 miles. Although this will depend on how the vehicle is driven, the driving conditions, and how often interior features are used, such as the air conditioning / heating. You could do the school run, go shopping, or even take a road trip somewhere, and that’s before you would even have to think about recharging the battery.

The main reason for the Kia e-Niro being on the list, is the practicality of the vehicle and how it has been designed. When you need a car that is incredibly spacious and roomy, you’ll often pay through the nose for it, but not with the Kia. At present, buying from new would set someone back just under £30,000, however keep your eyes out we may be listing a used Kia e-Niro for sale in the future!

2. Volkswagen ID.3

The Volkswagen ID.3 is one of the newest electric vehicles for sale. However it can’t be said for long, as competitors are constantly revamping their conventionally fuelled vehicles for the electric market. This particular EV excels in terms of handling. It is quick, nippy and incredibly agile.

The Volkswagen ID.3 is an affordable yet brilliant car to invest in. Forget about range anxiety when you have a vehicle that is capable of doing at least 250 miles on a full charge. Volkswagen driver’s will also benefit from a fantastic voice control system. Never will a driver have to fumble around pushing buttons and controls whilst driving. How user friendly is that!

Due to the recent release of this car, you’ll be looking to buy one from new for just under £30,000. It’s definitely worth it though!

3. Tesla Model S

One of the first electric vehicles for sale was from Tesla. Now, the Tesla Model S is one of the most iconic and well recognised EV on the market.

We could try and comment on the range of the Tesla Model S, however there are too many models currently on the market. For example, the Model S 85 has an average range of 220 miles, and on the other end of the scale, the Model S P100D exceeds 300 miles depending on how it is driven. In conclusion, we can simply say that the range on the Tesla Model S is plenty for anyone looking to use it for everyday purposes, plus any road trips. The added benefit to buying a Tesla is that you’ll be entitled to free Tesla Supercharging, which is one of the reasons why Tesla made the list of top electric. Stopping, charging and setting back off again will take no time at all!

If you’re looking to buy a Tesla, we have a couple of models currently for sale. Our stock list is constantly changing, so be sure to keep checking back as we may have some more available soon.

4. Vauxhall Corsa-e

The Corsa-e is the first in the range of pure electric vehicles for sale from Vauxhall. We predict that this car will be an EV that will push people to convert to electric cars, due to its recognisability.

Any Corsa-e driver will expect to see at least 200 miles range on a full charge. With a 50kWh lithium-ion battery, drivers will be able to refill the battery up to 80% in 30 minutes when using rapid charging.

With enough space for the driver and their passengers, this sleek electric vehicle could be a great choice if you’re commuting up to London. Whilst you pay £0 road tax, and you will be exempt from the congestion charge fee, you’ll be laughing at the savings you make from switching!

5. BMW i3

The BMW i3 is definitely a hidden gem in the EV world. The i3 has everything you would expect from an electric vehicle, and it definitely is one of the best cars on the market. The BMW i3 is definitely underrated. Although the average mile range of a BMW i3 is 130 – 180 miles, depending on the model, the UK average car journey is only 30 miles. We will let you do the maths…

The BMW emerged on the european EV market in 2016. That’s a whole 4 glorious years of having this car on the road. Recently, BMW announced that they have built their 200,000th i3 since the start of production. We can definitely see how popular they are!

If you were to buy a BMW i3, you could be paying anything from £35, 000 for a new model. However, if you feel like the i3 could be for you, we may have a used BMW i3 for sale to suit you. Our used BMW i3s are a more affordable option, plus they are practically new as well!
