If you’re going to buy a new car, then there’s two things you need to do. Switch to electric, and go for luxury, how great does that sound! As the EV market rapidly expands, join us as we take a look at the top luxury electric vehicles for sale at the moment.
TESLA MODEL S
We can’t talk about luxury EVs without mentioning the original luxurious electric car, the Tesla Model S. The Tesla Model S is one of the most iconic and well recognised EVs on the market.
Range
We would mention the range of the Tesla Model S, however there isn’t one set range for the vehicle. If you are a fan of Tesla, you would know that there are many models currently available. However as a rough guide, a lower model such as the Tesla Model S 85 has an estimated range of 220 miles. On the other end of the scale, the Tesla Model S P100D can comfortably do 300 miles depending on the driving conditions.
Interior
The interior is the pinnacle of luxury. The inside of the Tesla Model S is sleek, stylish and sophisticated. Whilst adhering to a minimalist design, drivers will enjoy a leather interior, a heated steering wheel, and 12 way power adjustable, heated front seats.
Extra benefits
If you choose to buy a Tesla, then you could gain extra benefits over other electric vehicles for sale. All Teslas will be entitled to free Tesla Supercharging, which is one of the reasons why Tesla made it to the top of our list of luxury electric vehicles for sale. Plus they have their own dedicated superchargers. Rack up the range when charging and in minimal time too. You’ll be back on your way in no time at all.
If you’re looking to buy a Tesla, we have a couple of models currently for sale. Our stock list is constantly changing, so be sure to keep checking back as we may have some more available soon.
PORSCHE TAYCAN
The Porsche Taycan is a relatively recent newcomer to the EV market. If you’re looking at luxury electric vehicles for sale, then maybe the Porsche Taycan could be for you.
Interior
The Taycan’s interior is clean and minimal, with a lack of buttons and controls inside. There is no low dash or single infotainment screen, instead you are greeted with multiple sectioned screens spanning the width of the vehicle. The driving position of the Taycan Turbo sits slightly higher than most EVs. This is due to the battery being beneath the central body floor.
Range
Depending on the model, the Porsche Taycan 4s is capable of reaching 245 miles on a full charge. On the other hand, the Porsche Taycan Turbo comes in just under with 240 miles on a full charge. However, a quicker 0 – 60 mph is reached in a nippy 3.2 seconds. Charging is just as quick too!
Exterior
The exterior is the first thing you see, so first impressions certainly count. The sporty EV will definitely not fail to impress either. This 20-inch wheeled beauty also comes as standard with both a frunk and a trunk, which means more storage space for those well-needed road trips.
POLESTAR 2
The Polestar 2 is another new addition to the car market. It is a popular choice for most drivers as it is more affordable than most electric cars. You’ll be getting a lot for your money, especially if you’re looking for that luxurious touch.
Exterior
As Volvo owns the Swedish company, Polestar, some say the new EV has been designed with the Volvo XC40 in mind. The Polestar 2 shares a similar exterior design, but the 402bhp all-electric powertrain, makes it almost unrecognisable from any other Volvo based cars.
Interior
It has been designed with large rear side windows aiding over-the-shoulder vision, and excellent visibility in front. The bright LED headlights with high-beam assist, front and rear parking sensors, and a 360 degree camera also come in handy as well.
Drivers can benefit from a high-quality, sophisticated feel. They may recognise the steering wheel and buttons from other Volvo models, but the design and layout are noticeably different. The centre console leads up to an 11” touchscreen infotainment system that was developed with Android. With a touch screen control and physical buttons for other controls, drivers can enjoy a comfortable ride in the Polestar 2.
Range
The Polestar 2 packs a respectable 265 miles of range on a full charge. If you can access a 150kW charger, Polestar claims an empty tank will have an 80% charge in 40 minutes. Now that’s speedy!
AUDI E-TRON
The Audi e-tron first braced us with its presence in mid 2019. The brand Audi in itself is the definition of luxury.
Interior
The all-electric Audi was made to fit in between the companies existing Q5 and Q7 models, in terms of size. However it does offer an ample amount of interior space. This particular electric vehicle was a smash hit with EV enthusiasts shortly after production. The classy, refined cabin ambience and driving abilities clearly impressed a lot of people. Especially those looking for a luxury car.
Exterior
The Audi e-tron has been designed with a separate electric motor on each axle, making it an all wheel drive. The actual driving of the car is another reason why drivers chose the Audi. It is a very responsive vehicle, which will pick up speed very quickly, but due to the well-balanced handling, making it a dream to drive.
Range
Drivers can expect to get at least 200 miles of range on a full charge, depending on how the car is driven. With a 95 kWh battery, you can’t really go wrong either!
HIRE BEFORE YOU BUY?
With plenty of variety on the market, it could be tricky to pick that perfect luxury EV. If you’re interested in a couple of electric vehicles for sale, but can’t decide we would highly recommend hiring before buying.
